在2月28日举行的DVD论坛第37届指导委员会会议上，批准了一系列的新的标准规范，如下：

会议通过了12项申请批准，包括HD DVD-Video规范升级、CCS管理下载DVD光盘修订、等一系列规范修订，其中HD DVD-RW标准确定，这也意味着HD DVD标准规范都已齐全。
同时第9条和第10条显示，中国特有的HD DVD-ROM也有了自己的头衔“C-HD DVD-ROM”，也预示这中国版HD DVD影碟机的技术架构又向完整性迈近一步。
第12条，从2007年8月7日开始延长DVD论坛10年运作时间。DVD论坛自1997年成立以来，已经渡过了整整10年的时间。
